Isla-Maria

Bio

Born in the small town of Bracebridge in Ontario, Canada, Isla-Maria grew up in a household that encouraged creativity, honing her craft since she was only three years old and appearing in countless productions ranging from musical theatre to competitive dance. She is a lover of R&B, pop, rock, hip-hop, and everything in between.

Isla-Maria is a rising force in the music world, delivering genre-fluid, emotionally charged songs that cut through with rare authenticity. Armed with a natural gift for songwriting and an emotive voice that balances raw vulnerability with striking depth, she creates music that feels both intimate and fearless. Her work captures the beauty and chaos of growing up, pairing emotional honesty with bold sonic experimentation that resonates far beyond her years.

Her live impact is already being noticed. Following two shows in Los Angeles and standout performances at Toronto’s Departure Festival, Isla-Maria has proven she can command a room and build real demand. That momentum earned her a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music - an offer she ultimately turned down after a serious heart condition in early 2024 reshaped her priorities. Choosing conviction over convention, she committed fully to her career as an artist, a decision that has only accelerated her trajectory.

Now splitting her time between Toronto and Los Angeles, Isla-Maria is deep in the studio, refining a sound that is both emotionally resonant and commercially compelling. She has collaborated with an impressive roster of producers and writers including Goldchain, Max Toth, Davin Kingston, Eli Brown, Kirsten Carpenter, MIDI Jones, J Moon, GoodGrief, Kayla Diamond, Elio, Bobby Love, Stephen Conley, Zoe Giovanni-hirsch, Ella Collier, Babbygirl, Sophia Fracassi, Sunetto, Greg Markov, DCF, Sam Willows, VRon, Heather Russell, Gray Hawken, Joel Stouffer, Tampa, NIIVA, Myles Erlick and Herag Sanbalian.

Recently signing a distribution deal with ADA, Isla-Maria has released three singles through the partnership, all of which have received support across major DSPs - a clear signal of growing industry confidence. The next chapter of her career is firmly focused on live performance, with multiple booking agencies actively lining up to represent her. She most recently headlined her own sold-out show at Toronto’s Division 88, further cementing her status as an emerging live draw.
